The first round matches of the event will be hosted at State Bank Ground, KCCA Stadium and TMC Ground.

Event matches will also be played at the NBP Sports Complex.

In the preliminary round, defending champions Southern Punjab will take on Northern. A three-day match between the two teams will be played at the TMC Ground starting Sunday. Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa State Bank Grounds while Central Punjab and Sindh Competitors will come to the CCA Stadium.

Each team will play ten matches in the double league based event. The final round of the event will run from December 11 to 13, after which the team that scores the most points with the most wins and the first innings lead will be declared the champion.

Players participating in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy non-first class matches like the National T20 Cup will have the option to make a place in their team's First XI squad by performing well.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy First Class Tournament, the forerunner of Pakistan's domestic cricket, will start on October 25 in Karachi.

According to the PCB's protocols for the current domestic season, all players and officials participating in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy non-first-class matches will remain in the biosecure bubble. Before entering this bio-secure bubble made in a local hotel in Karachi, all the players have completed the Covid 19 test.

The PCB has set a 10-day break from November 10 to 19 for the players in the Second XI squad to participate in the remaining matches of the HBL Pakistan Super League Five.

Salman Ali Agha will lead defending champions Southern Punjab in the preliminary round in place of Zain Abbas, who is busy in the ongoing National T20 Cup First XI tournament in Rawalpindi.

The captains of all the teams are hopeful of doing their best in the event.

Saifullah Bangash says he has experience leading the team at the under-19 level, but leading the Sindh Second XI cricket team is no less than an honor. He said that he wanted to inspire the other players in the squad with his individual performance and hoped that all the players would play their best in the event.

Agha Salman, Captain Southern Punjab Second XI:
